Bangalore, Karnataka, India
BIO-LUTIONS is an international cleantech and sustainable materials company that operates a major manufacturing unit in India. The company develops innovative, biodegradable packaging and disposable products made entirely from agricultural residues such as rice straw, sugarcane leaves, and banana stems. Through its patented technology, Bio-Lutions mechanically converts crop waste into natural fibres—without chemicals, high water usage, or energy-intensive processing. These fibres are moulded into trays, boxes, and tableware used across food, retail, and industrial sectors. By sourcing raw material directly from Indian farmers, BIO-LUTIONS helps reduce stubble burning, creates additional income opportunities, and provides a circular-economy alternative to plastic. Their India facility, located in Ramanagara near Bengaluru, focuses on scalable, eco-friendly solutions that support national sustainability goals and growing demand for green packaging.

Bio Lution
Agricultural waste (rice straw, banana stems, sugarcane leaves, etc.) is collected. It is mechanically broken down into natural micro- and macro-fibres. No chemicals, no bleaching, no cellulose extraction is used. This maintains sustainability and reduces pollution.
Fibre Blending & Forming The extracted fibres are blended to achieve the right strength and texture. The blend is shaped into preliminary fibre mats.
Dry Moulded Fibre Technology (in partnership with PulPac) A low-water, low-energy moulding process. Uses high-pressure moulds to form products like trays, plates, boxes, etc. Faster production compared to traditional wet pulp moulding. Greatly reduces CO₂ emissions.
Heat & Pressure Moulding Fibre mats are placed in moulds. Heat + pressure compress the fibres into rigid shapes. Used for packaging, food containers, and product trays.
Quality Testing & Food-Grade Processing Products are tested for: Strength Durability Moisture resistance Food-contact safety Ensures consistent quality for supermarkets, restaurants, and industrial packaging.
Waste-to-Value Circular Process Agricultural waste → fibre extraction → packaging → compost → soil. Supports circular economy and reduces landfill waste.
Farmer Integration & Local Sourcing Model Biomass is sourced directly from local farmers. Ensures Reduced transportation emissionsL ower costs Additional income to farming communities
