DENS Bike Project
DENS Bike Project empowers individuals facing homelessness, poverty, and social exclusion in Dacorum by teaching bike maintenance skills and providing affordable, refurbished bikes. They offer opportunities for clients to learn bike repair and maintenance, build confidence, and access sustainable transportation1. The project also provides reasonably priced servicing and repairs, and partners with Velorim and Schwalve to recycle used inner tubes and tires. As an official free Refill water station, they help reduce plastic pollution1. DENS Bike Project is a Disability Confident employer and a member of Social Enterprise UK, Connect Dacorum, and the Association of Cycle Traders.
They reinvest all surplus towards their mission of supporting and empowering people to take positive steps in their lives.
