Grow Benzie

Grow Benzie fosters community connections, healthful food access, and skill-building in rural Benzie County. Founded in 2008, the organization revitalized an abandoned farmstead into a community hub featuring a commercial kitchen, event center, incubator farm, bee yard, makerspace, and community garden. Grow Benzie supports youth education through school programs, field trips, and after-school activities. Its guilds, including the Seed Guild, promote mutual aid among beekeepers, fiber enthusiasts, and soil builders, hosting workshops, seed swaps, and maintaining a seed library. Partner organizations deliver year-round programs for all ages, from pre-schoolers to seniors.
