Sustainable Action for Community Development (SACOD) is a Cameroon-based non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to empowering vulnerable and marginalized communities for sustainable development. Established in 2015 and legally registered in 2017, SACOD focuses on enhancing social, economic, and political well-being through inclusive and participatory approaches. The organization serves underprivileged groups, including women, youths, children, people living with HIV/AIDS, orphans, and widows, primarily in the North-West, West, and South-West regions of Cameroon. SACOD implements programs in health, education, human rights, governance, environmental protection, and livelihoods, using innovative strategies like Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD). Its mission is to build self-reliant individuals and communities by promoting good governance, social inclusion, and economic opportunities. Through advocacy, capacity-building, community mobilization, and collaborative projects, SACOD aims to create lasting positive impact, fostering resilient communities capable of addressing social challenges and achieving equitable, sustainable development.
