Sashreeka

Overview

Sashreeka works on raising a regenerative agricultural ecosystem on 150 acres of their farm in Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka. They grow a variety of fruits, vegetables, spices, and herbs without agrichemicals but only with organic fertilizers and natural pest control methods. Their focus is on promoting soil health and restoring lands to long-term access to healthy foods. Sashreeka believes in innovation and shares knowledge with farmers to help them enhance their practices and adapt to environmental changes. It advocates biodiversity and sustainability in farming.

Shared prosperity is an integral part of their approach: 10 percent of profits at Sashreeka are returned to workers, entailing workers' welfare and fairness in the work environment. These are going to aid Sashreeka in developing a strong agricultural system with empowered local communities.
