The Town Kitchen

The Town Kitchen is a community-driven food company based in Oakland, California, dedicated to employing and training underserved youth. They deliver chef-crafted box lunches, buffet meals, and platters to corporate clients, contributing to the local food ecosystem in the San Francisco Bay Area. Approximately half of their employees are foster or re-entry youth. The company provides fair and living wages, mentorship, resume assistance, and a sense of community. While most food is produced in-house, they prioritize local suppliers and women-owned or minority-owned businesses for outsourced items.

Packaging is either compostable or recyclable. The Town Kitchen is a registered benefit corporation and is EAT Real Certified.
