First Step Staffing is a nonprofit organization providing critical employment pathways for individuals facing significant barriers, including homelessness, involvement with the justice system, or chronic poverty. With offices in Atlanta, Augusta, Philadelphia, Southern California, Nashville, Orlando, Dallas, and Houston, they connect a motivated and ready workforce with businesses in need of staffing solutions. They specialize in temp-to-hire and direct-hire services, handling payroll, background checks, insurance, and workers' compensation, as well as offering worksite transportation, protective equipment, and job coaching. Their Second Step program provides advanced training to help individuals transition to long-term, higher-wage employment. First Step Staffing is part of REDF, Stand Together, and the Reentry Coalition and is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
