Borneo Paris is a swimwear label based in Paris that makes bikinis, one-pieces and swim shorts for women. The designs take inspiration from Mediterranean sailing and use simple, timeless shapes rather than seasonal trends. The founder grew up in Uruguay and named the brand after the Spanish word for the arc a boat traces at anchor. Every piece is made from ECONYL regenerated nylon, which is produced from ocean waste and post-industrial material and is certified to GRS and OEKO-TEX Standard 100. Production happens at an atelier in Bali chosen for its ability to make small quantities. Collections launch in limited runs and only items that sell are restocked, to avoid overproduction. The brand is a member of 1% for the Planet and gives one percent of every sale to environmental organisations. Orders ship without plastic, in packaging that is recycled and recyclable.
