CARPASUS (carpasus.ch) is the Swiss-franc storefront of the St. Gallen menswear label CARPASUS. It sells shirts, flannels, T-shirts, polo shirts, overshirts, trousers, wool sweaters and beanies. The founder, René, started the brand to offer shirts that combine timeless style and comfort with natural materials and European production. The brand works with organic cotton, linen, wool and recycled cotton, and says no synthetic fibres go into its collections. It also offers Tencel flannel pieces and a Bananatex edition made from abaca banana plant fibre. Most fabrics and garments come from northern Portugal, and the brand keeps close relationships with partners in Portugal and Bosnia. Customers can try pieces at its showroom in St. Gallen or at retailers. Good On You rates CARPASUS Good overall. It scores Great for planet, It's a Start for people and Good for animals. Good On You notes reusable packaging, action on transport emissions and non-mulesed wool. However, it found no evidence of living wages being paid in the supply chain.
