One insert suits lighter days, while using both gives absorbency equal to a standard maxi pad. Snapped around the underwear, the pad measures 9 inches long and 2.75 inches wide. It is made from 100% cotton fabric with no plastic liners and is handmade in Portland, Oregon. After use the inserts are separated from the holder, and all pieces can be machine washed cold and tumble dried low or line dried.
