Draksha Unisex Jacket
₹52,345.16
The Draksha Unisex Jacket is curated to show the beauty of a grape vine engulfing a jacket, in the most subdued shades like the shine of sunlight on a grape. Whether it is a breezy autumn day or a cold winter morning, layer it for warmth and style. The shiny-cream base is made of rainfed Khadi, adorned with golden jute hand embroidery embracing the spread of a climber plant of grape across the jacket. The hint of colourful hand-block print element adds just the right amount of colour to the subdued elegance of the jacket. The entire piece is handspun, hand-woven, and dyed with plant-colours, giving it the rare look of raw extravagance. It's limited edition couture, made only on order. Materials: 85% Khadi, 10% Jute, 5% Rainfed Cotton, 100% Plant Colours

Jiwya
Jiwya is a fashion brand that works only with plant-based materials. It sells everyday clothing for men and women, unisex pieces and avant-garde dresses, as well as handmade home decor and tableware. Two textile scientists started the brand after travelling across India to study its traditional crafts. The supply chain uses seven native plant fibres and twenty plant-based colours, with no synthetic dyes, plastic or animal products. The brand says its products can return to the soil at the end of their life. Raw materials come from more than 150 artisan clusters, and the garments are handspun, handwoven and hand-embroidered. Jiwya says its dyeing uses a tenth of the water of conventional methods, and the used water goes to its garden. Scraps from garment production are upcycled into embellishments and accessories. The brand says it pays wages about 17 to 20 percent above industry standards. Through its Re:Jiwya program, it takes back pieces that customers no longer want.
