The upper is made from a sugarcane bagasse-based fabric, which Ethik describes as a plant-based leather alternative made from sugarcane waste. The footbed is woven from handloom hemp, the lining is grey felt to reduce friction, and an adjustable gold-finish buckle sets the fit. It stands on a 1.5 inch cork heel with a PU sole for grip and height. The brand says hemp, cork and the sugarcane material break down far faster than conventional synthetics once disposed of.
