The Ethical Silk Company makes mulberry silk sleepwear, loungewear and accessories for women and men. The range includes pyjamas, robes, slips, camisole sets, tops, scarves, eye masks and pillowcases. The brand began in Dublin and also has a presence in the UK and the US. The brand uses only peace silk, also called Ahimsa silk. With this method the silk is taken from the cocoon only after the moth has left, so the silkworm is not killed. Its silk comes from a family business in India led by Rajaiah Kusuma. The team says it knows its suppliers in north and south India and visits them regularly.
