Neustark, a Swiss company, is at the forefront of sustainable construction through its innovative carbon capture and storage technology. The company focuses on permanently storing CO₂ in recycled concrete via a process called mineralization. By repurposing construction waste, Neustark not only reduces carbon emissions but also transforms discarded materials into high-value, eco-friendly building components. This approach aligns with the principles of a circular economy, emphasizing waste reduction, resource efficiency, and sustainability. The process involves injecting captured CO₂ into old concrete, which chemically binds the gas, locking it away permanently while simultaneously improving the quality of the material. Neustark’s solution addresses critical climate challenges by offering an environmentally responsible alternative to traditional construction practices, significantly lowering the carbon footprint of the industry. With its groundbreaking work, Neustark is shaping a greener future, proving that construction and sustainability can go hand in hand.
