Boldwill is a Dutch sportswear brand that used to be called Iron Roots. It makes activewear for men and women, including hoodies, joggers, T-shirts, shorts and natural rubber sports socks. The brand wants to offer an alternative to sportswear made mostly from synthetics such as polyester and nylon. Boldwill uses materials of natural origin wherever it can. It admits that fully plastic-free sportswear is not yet possible and describes its approach as a gradual move toward that goal, which it calls Natural Progression. Good On You notes the use of Tencel Lyocell and Modal and lists Bluesign among its certifications. Good On You rates Boldwill Great overall, with Great scores for both Planet and People. It cites a high share of lower-impact materials, durable products, renewable energy in the supply chain and plastic-free packaging.
