Fairtrade Network of Asia & Pacific Producers ensures that farmers and workers in the Asia-Pacific region get better markets, fair prices, and decent working conditions. Training on Fairtrade standards and compliance reviews and monitoring support are what make up the better deal for Fairtrade-certified producers, making much-needed improvements to livelihoods and ultimately reducing poverty within communities. NAPP promotes sustainable farming practices through the elimination of harmful chemicals and conservation of biodiversity to reduce agriculture's environmental impact and fight climate change. Likewise, the network assists community development projects funded with Fairtrade premiums on education, health infrastructure, environment, and health projects. Through the fostering of fair trade and sustainability, Fairtrade NAPP contributes to wellbeing both for farming communities and the environment. As such, being a member of Fairtrade International, NAPP becomes an important player in effecting positive change for farmers and workers across the Asia-Pacific region.
