FM 669 is a US brand making T-shirts, tank tops, polos, hats and socks for men and women from American organic cotton. The name comes from Farm to Market Road 669 in northwestern Texas, which runs near the cotton farms the brand sources from. Every stage from farming to spinning and knitting takes place domestically, and each garment is sewn in New York City's garment district. The cotton comes from a collective of Texas farms certified under USDA-NOP and GOTS. According to the brand, 75% of these farms rely only on rainfall. White fabric is bleached with hydrogen peroxide, and colours use low-impact fiber-reactive dyes in a closed-loop system with on-site wastewater treatment. The brand produces in small runs and ships in compostable or recyclable packaging, offsetting shipping emissions through the Planet app. Good On You rates FM 669 Good overall. It scores the brand Great for planet and Good for people and animals, though it found no evidence of living wages in the supply chain.
