₹7,900
The virtuous circle, an ideal state of equilibrium in life, this bracelet is a reminder to pluck away the vicious and strive toward rich and comforting feelings of inner peace. This bangle is inspired by the virtuous circle we create with our artisan partners in Laos - the more jewelry worn and shared, the more funds raised for MAG to clear the80 million unexploded bombs in Laos, the more creative work for Lao artisans to make more jewelry that clears more of their land. Dainty and bright, our skinny bangle boasts a golden patina thanks to partners in Pennsylvania who apply modern technology to this gorgeously handcrafted one of a kind bracelets. As with our silver original bangles, the metal becomes more luminous with wear thanks to the natural oils of your skin. How do we get the gold tone? Gold anodization of aluminum known as anodizing is an electrochemical process which converts the metal surface into a decorative, durable, corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant oxide layer. It cannot chip or peel. We do not use pigments, but metals to obtain the gold color. Gold anodizing is therefore extremely UV resistant and will remain sparkling for a long time. COLOR/PATINA MAY VARY DUE TO THE HAND MADE NATURE OF THE PIECE. These imperfections reflect the nature of the material and artisanal hand feel. Each piece gives back to support traditional Laotian artisan livelihoods, village development, community endeavors and further de-mining efforts. Your purchase contributes to MAG (Mines Advisory Group) to safely & expertly clear some of the 80 million unexploded bombs contaminating land in Laos. Single clears 4m2 of Laotian landscape Set of 3 clears 12m2 of Laotian landscape DISCOVER OUR STORY AND IMPACT

ARTICLE22
ARTICLE22 is a US for-profit social enterprise selling jewelry and home goods handmade by artisans in Laos. Its first collection, PEACEBOMB, is made by Laotian craftspeople using metal scrap and shrapnel left over from the Vietnam War. Each piece supports MAG (Mines Advisory Group) in clearing unexploded ordnance. The brand says that growing sales allow artisans to create new designs, build their businesses and contribute more to clearance work. Founder Elizabeth Suda started the company after meeting villagers in Laos who melted US bombs into spoons. The brand reports customers in over 40 countries. Good On You rates ARTICLE22 Good overall and Great for people. It notes the brand's mission to improve social conditions in Laos, its tracing of most of its supply chain and living wages for final-stage workers. On the environment, Good On You credits its use of upcycled materials and limited production runs. The brand appears to use leather and has no evidence of an animal welfare policy, which gives it an animals score of It's a Start.
