Alocasia brancifolia 'Pink Passion' is a rare aroid with deeply lobed, feather-like leaves carried on striking pink petioles. Jiffy Plants supplies it with four leaves and a pot. The seller recommends bright, indirect light near an east- or north-facing window, watering when the top 2 to 3 cm of soil is dry, humidity of 60 to 80 percent and temperatures of 20 to 32°C, never below 16°C. A chunky mix of cocopeat or peat, perlite, orchid bark and charcoal or pumice helps prevent root rot, and the seller advises against misting the leaves directly.
