Ekta Helsinki
Finland
Ekta Helsinki is a Finnish knitwear brand with knits and hats for women, men and children. Every piece is made from 100 percent Finnish sheep wool and named after a street in Helsinki. The brand says the wool is soft, rich in lanolin and does not itch. The founders, Mikaela and Nicolina, created a yarn that lets Finnish wool be knitted by machine. That wool would otherwise often go to waste. It is sheared, spun and knitted within about 500 km in Finland, and it is left undyed in its natural colours. The products are free of artificial colouring, chemicals and plastic. They carry the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and are made in small batches, and the brand's shipping partners are carbon neutral. Good On You rates Ekta Helsinki Good overall. It scores 4 out of 5 for planet and people and 3 for animals. The rating credits limited production runs, recyclable packaging and local production. It also notes that the brand does not publish a full breakdown of its materials and has given no evidence of living wages or of its non-mulesed wool claim.

The Ethical Silk Company
Ireland
The Ethical Silk Company makes mulberry silk sleepwear, loungewear and accessories for women and men. The range includes pyjamas, robes, slips, camisole sets, tops, scarves, eye masks and pillowcases. The brand began in Dublin and also has a presence in the UK and the US. The brand uses only peace silk, also called Ahimsa silk. With this method the silk is taken from the cocoon only after the moth has left, so the silkworm is not killed. Its silk comes from a family business in India led by Rajaiah Kusuma. The team says it knows its suppliers in north and south India and visits them regularly. It describes its supply chain as simple and transparent, and it focuses on fair treatment of workers and on clothing that lasts. Good On You rates the brand Good overall. It scores 4 out of 5 for planet, 3 for people and 4 for animals. Good On You notes limited production runs, efforts to reduce packaging and rainwater capture in the supply chain. It also notes there is no evidence of living wages or emissions reductions.

CARPASUS
Switzerland
CARPASUS is a menswear brand based in St. Gallen, Switzerland. It began with shirts and now also makes T-shirts, polo shirts, overshirts, trousers, knitwear and accessories, with a focus on timeless, durable design. The founder, René, started the company because he struggled to find shirts that were both eco-friendly and stylish. Its collections rely on natural fibres, namely organic cotton, linen and wool, along with recycled cotton, and the brand states that it uses no synthetic fibres. It also has an edition made from Bananatex, a fabric based on abaca banana plant fibre. Most fabrics and garments are made in northern Portugal, with production partners in Portugal and Bosnia, which keeps transport distances short. Good On You rates CARPASUS Good overall: Great for planet, It's a Start for people and Good for animals. It notes action on transport emissions, reusable packaging, non-mulesed wool and partial SA8000 certification. However, it found no evidence of a Code of Conduct or of living wages being paid.

Artknit Studios
Italy
Artknit Studios is an Italian knitwear label for women and men. Its range covers sweaters, cardigans, coats, jackets, skirts, trousers and accessories, made from natural fibres such as merino wool, cashmere, organic cotton and linen. The brand has stores in Milan, Rome and Biella and has run pop-up shops in Paris. Production is handled by 16 small and medium-sized Italian makers, many of them family-run. Pieces are made in small quantities and on a just-in-time basis so that unsold stock does not pile up. Every product page includes a Digital Product Passport that follows the piece from fibre to finished garment and shows its Life Cycle Assessment data and material certifications. In 2025 the brand added RWS-certified wool and GOTS-certified organic cotton, and it repaired 103 pieces. Good On You rates Artknit Studios Good overall: Great for planet, Good for people and Good for animals. It reports that the brand traces most of its supply chain, sources wool from non-mulesed sheep and uses recyclable packaging. Good On You also notes it found no evidence that living wages are paid across the supply chain.
