Boldwill
Netherlands
Boldwill is a Dutch sportswear brand that used to be called Iron Roots. It makes activewear for men and women, including hoodies, joggers, T-shirts, shorts and natural rubber sports socks. The brand wants to offer an alternative to sportswear made mostly from synthetics such as polyester and nylon. Boldwill uses materials of natural origin wherever it can. It admits that fully plastic-free sportswear is not yet possible and describes its approach as a gradual move toward that goal, which it calls Natural Progression. Good On You notes the use of Tencel Lyocell and Modal and lists Bluesign among its certifications. Good On You rates Boldwill Great overall, with Great scores for both Planet and People. It cites a high share of lower-impact materials, durable products, renewable energy in the supply chain and plastic-free packaging. It also notes that the brand traces most of its supply chain, has a Code of Conduct and ensures that some final-stage workers are paid living wages.

SCATHED
United States
SCATHED is a gothic womenswear label based in Las Vegas, Nevada. It makes dark, romantic pieces such as gowns, dresses and harnesses. Local artisans handle every stage of production, from design through to finishing, inside the brand's own studio, working in small batches. Collections come out twice a year, with only three of each design made in each size, and every order is made to order, usually within two to three weeks. On materials, the brand uses Desserto cactus leather in place of animal leather. It also uses recycled polyester, organic bamboo cotton and organic cotton from a certified textile maker that runs on solar power, as well as eco-tulle made from recycled ocean plastic. Garments are sewn with recycled polyester thread, fabrics are not prewashed, and offcuts are reused for tags, labels and accessories. The brand says its studios run on solar power. Good On You rates SCATHED Good overall. It scores the brand Great for planet and Good for both people and animals, while noting there is no evidence of a Code of Conduct or of living wages being paid.
Katla
United States
Katla is a US-based clothing label that makes loungewear for women, men and children. Its range includes shirts, skirts, sweaters, pants, hoodies, knitwear and shorts. The brand pairs a Nordic minimalist look with fabrics that blend in seaweed harvested around Iceland's Sleepy Islands and the nearby fjord. Good On You rates Katla Good overall. It scores 4 out of 5 for planet, 4 for people and 5 for animals. According to Good On You, the brand uses some lower-impact materials such as organic cotton, keeps production runs limited to reduce waste, and manufactures close to home to cut shipping emissions. All final-stage production takes place in the United States. Its code of conduct covers ILO principles, and it audits part of its supply chain, including the whole final production stage. Good On You also notes some gaps. Katla does not publish a breakdown of its materials, there is no evidence that it reduces packaging, and there is no evidence that it ensures living wages. The brand states that its entire range is vegan.

Beaumont Organic
United Kingdom
Beaumont Organic is a British label founded in 2008. It designs clothing for women in the UK and has it made in Europe. The range covers knitwear, dresses, shirts, trousers and outerwear, and Good On You notes that the brand also sells baby wear, homeware and accessories. Fabrics include GOTS certified organic cotton, linen, lyocell, British lambswool and recycled fibres. Every product page lists the fabrics, processes and suppliers used. The brand says it visits its factories regularly and that all of them are committed to paying a living wage. It also runs free repair and resale schemes to keep garments in use for longer. Good On You rates Beaumont Organic Good overall. It scores Great for Planet, thanks to lower-impact materials, production close to home and recyclable packaging. It scores Good for People but Not Good Enough for Animals, because the brand uses leather, wool and mohair and Good On You found no animal welfare policy.
Printfresh
United States
Printfresh is a US sleepwear and lifestyle brand for women, known for bright, unusual prints. It sells pajama sets, nightgowns, robes, apparel and bags. Sizes run from XS to 6X. The brand grew out of Printfresh Studio, a textile design house, and began as a stationery label before launching sleepwear in 2019. Sustainability and size-inclusivity became core parts of the brand after the sleepwear launch. Many of its pajamas are made from organic cotton, and it also uses fabrics such as organic Pima modal. Good On You notes that Printfresh uses renewable energy in its supply chain, cuts fabric with low-waste techniques and uses recycled packaging. Good On You rates Printfresh Good overall. It scores Good for planet and animals, since the brand does not appear to use animal-derived materials. For people it scores It's a Start: most suppliers are audited, but there is no evidence that living wages are paid in its supply chain.
