Borneo Paris
Borneo Paris is a swimwear label based in Paris that makes bikinis, one-pieces and swim shorts for women. The designs take inspiration from Mediterranean sailing and use simple, timeless shapes rather than seasonal trends. The founder grew up in Uruguay and named the brand after the Spanish word for the arc a boat traces at anchor. Every piece is made from ECONYL regenerated nylon, which is produced from ocean waste and post-industrial material and is certified to GRS and OEKO-TEX Standard 100. Production happens at an atelier in Bali chosen for its ability to make small quantities. Collections launch in limited runs and only items that sell are restocked, to avoid overproduction. The brand is a member of 1% for the Planet and gives one percent of every sale to environmental organisations. Orders ship without plastic, in packaging that is recycled and recyclable.
Earthkind
Multi-brand retailer selling Good/Great brands:
Earthkind is an online marketplace that sells sustainable and ethically made clothing and accessories from many labels. Its range includes tops, dresses, knitwear, activewear and accessories from brands such as Boyish Jeans, terrae and COSSAC. Its aim is to make sustainable fashion normal without giving up on style. Earthkind picks the brands it stocks by hand. It tags products by values such as organic, fair labour, vegan, recycled, artisanal, non-toxic, zero waste and supply chain transparency. Shoppers can use these tags to find items that match their priorities. The platform also reminds people that the clothes already in their wardrobe are the most sustainable option. For each order, Earthkind plants a tree through One Tree Planted in countries including the Philippines, Indonesia, India and Vietnam. It is a 1% for the Planet member. It says it removes unnecessary packaging and uses recycled materials for the packaging it keeps, and it lists carbon neutrality as a goal.

France

The range includes jackets, blazers, trousers, dresses, cardigans and tuxedo-inspired pieces, made in fabrics such as wool flannel, wool twill and cotton velvet. Garments are made in France from natural materials taken from the dormant stock of large fashion houses. The brand works in small series and made-to-order production to limit waste. Good On You rates Facettes Studio Good overall. It scores the brand Great for planet and Good for people and animals. Good On You notes that the brand uses a high proportion of lower-impact materials, publishes a breakdown of the materials it uses, avoids plastic packaging, and carries out its final production in France. It also notes that most of the wool used is recycled or certified, and that there is no evidence of living wages in the supply chain.
