Its designs take cues from vintage California surf culture and are built to stay in place in the waves. Some pieces have small pockets for items such as keys or wax. The brand says it designs for a wide range of body types. The idea came from a surf trip where the founders kept finding plastic in the water. The brand uses regenerated and recycled fabrics where it can, including materials made from discarded fishing nets. It produces in small batches, works with ethical manufacturing partners, finds uses for leftover materials and ships in recyclable or compostable packaging. Do Good is a member of 1% for the Planet. It says each purchase helps remove one pound of ocean plastic and plant a mangrove tree. It has given to groups such as Surfrider Foundation, Coral Gardeners, Sea Trees and 4ocean. It also runs beach cleanups and community garden workshops in Long Beach. The brand's own site says Good On You rates it Great.
