Philodendron pastazanum, sometimes called the pasta plant philodendron, is an aroid from the rainforests of Pastaza in Ecuador with glossy, dark green, heart-shaped leaves. Its main stem is a rhizome that creeps horizontally across the soil while the leaves rise on upright petioles, so Jiffy Plants advises keeping the rhizome on the surface rather than burying it and suggests a long, narrow pot to suit its linear spread. The seller gives a mature height of about 0.9-1.5 m (3-5 feet) and a preferred humidity of 65-75%. It is toxic to pets, and this listing is a plant with four leaves, supplied with a pot.
