Cahaya Society is dedicated to empowering stateless and disadvantaged people in Sandakan, Sabah by developing alternative education programs that emphasize advocacy, community, and solidarity for impactful social change. The Cahaya Learning Centre (CLC) provides a safe and nurturing environment where underprivileged children can improve their literacy and develop essential knowledge and skills. To ensure continued support, the Cahaya Alumni Club helps CLC graduates transition to further education or employment. Beyond education, Cahaya Society organizes a range of community-focused initiatives, including medical outreach, youth camps, sewing and screenprinting training, and community research projects. They also offer training of trainer programs to build local capacity and leadership. As a Government of Malaysia Accredited Social Enterprise, Cahaya Society is committed to creating sustainable, positive change in the lives of the most vulnerable populations in Sandakan.
