People and Planet First is a growing global movement that unites enterprises dedicated to prioritizing people and the planet over private profit. This includes social enterprises, cooperatives, fair trade organizations, and other socially responsible businesses. The initiative provides a robust verification system to ensure that enterprises with the People and Planet First badge are genuinely solving social and environmental issues, reinvesting the majority of their profits for the benefit of many rather than a select few. Stewarded by the Social Enterprise World Forum (SEWF) and supported by a network of trusted partners worldwide, People and Planet First actively works to combat greenwashing and socialwashing in the business landscape. By facilitating access to essential resources and collective advocacy, they aim to transform business practices and build an economy that allows everyone to thrive within the planet’s ecological limits.
