Tillandsia Ionantha Yellow – Air Plant

Tillandsia ionantha Yellow is a small, low-maintenance air plant that Jiffy Plants suggests for beginners, sold as a single plant in secure packing. The nursery notes that the yellow colour of this variety is often from plant-safe airbrushing that fades over time with watering. It needs no soil and can be mounted on wood, cork bark or rocks, or set in shells or open terrariums. The nursery recommends bright, indirect light, soaking the plant in room-temperature rainwater or low-mineral water for 30 minutes to an hour every one to two weeks, then shaking it and letting it dry within four hours. It prefers 10 to 32°C and flowers once before producing pups.
