Its design takes after the large bronze uralis used in South Indian temple kitchens and during festivals like Onam, scaled down to be lighter and more compact for daily use. The brand says bronze heats slowly and evenly and does not react with sour foods such as tamarind, lemon or tomatoes, unlike copper or brass. Use it for boiling milk or water, simmering curries, soups and gravies, or making traditional dishes like payasam and rasam. It is made by artisans.
