Homalomena Silver is sold by Jiffy Plants as a well-rooted plant. The seller describes Homalomena as a tropical, clumping houseplant that needs a well-drained potting mix, warmth, humidity and indirect light, and that copes with low light, albeit with slower growth, making it suited to rooms with little natural sun. It prefers light, loamy, fertile and acidic soil, should be kept moist without sitting in water, and thrives above 21°C, with leaves yellowing if exposed to prolonged cold. Feed it a couple of times a month in summer with a slow-release organic fertiliser.
