Pennywort, Copper Coin, Lucky Plant, Money Plant

This pennywort, also called coin plant or marsh pennywort, is a low-growing plant with round, shiny, shield-shaped leaves on long stalks that spreads by creeping runners. Jiffy Plants sells it as a bushy plant in a 2.5 inch pot. The nursery recommends partial sun or bright, indirect light, and soil kept consistently moist but not waterlogged; it can also be grown in water, which makes it suitable for aquariums and terrariums. It prefers 18 to 24°C and high humidity, with a diluted liquid feed once a month in spring and summer. It propagates easily from cuttings or division, and the nursery advises keeping it in a container because it can spread vigorously.
