Artknit Studios
Italy
Artknit Studios is an Italian knitwear label for women and men. Its range covers sweaters, cardigans, coats, jackets, skirts, trousers and accessories, made from natural fibres such as merino wool, cashmere, organic cotton and linen. The brand has stores in Milan, Rome and Biella and has run pop-up shops in Paris. Production is handled by 16 small and medium-sized Italian makers, many of them family-run. Pieces are made in small quantities and on a just-in-time basis so that unsold stock does not pile up. Every product page includes a Digital Product Passport that follows the piece from fibre to finished garment and shows its Life Cycle Assessment data and material certifications. In 2025 the brand added RWS-certified wool and GOTS-certified organic cotton, and it repaired 103 pieces. Good On You rates Artknit Studios Good overall: Great for planet, Good for people and Good for animals. It reports that the brand traces most of its supply chain, sources wool from non-mulesed sheep and uses recyclable packaging. Good On You also notes it found no evidence that living wages are paid across the supply chain.

HERTH
Italy
HERTH is an Italian label making womenswear and lingerie entirely from organic silk, including shirts, dresses, trousers, skirts, blazers, tops, bodysuits and bras. It works in fluid shapes and a colour palette developed specifically for the brand, and designs wardrobe staples instead of seasonal collections. The silk comes from GOTS-certified suppliers in Como, and garments are made in Italy by Italian artisans. The brand says it uses low-impact dyeing within certified supply chains and offers blockchain-based traceability from fibre to finished garment. Good On You rates HERTH Good, with 4 out of 5 for Planet, People and Animals. It credits low-waste cutting, local manufacturing, recyclable packaging and digital printing, and notes that all final production takes place in Italy. It found no evidence of living wage commitments or a formal animal welfare policy.

Akyn
Womenswear
AKYN is a contemporary luxury womenswear label from the UK, launched by designer Amy Powney. Collections are built on denim and core wardrobe staples, alongside dresses, knitwear, wool coats and tailoring designed to be worn across seasons. The brand works with four main fibres: organic, recycled or regenerative cotton; non-mulesed wool; European flax linen; and TENCEL Lyocell. It traces its supply chain from fibre to finished garment and keeps long-term relationships with manufacturers, whom it visits regularly. Most pieces are made in Portugal, and some limited-run styles are produced at its atelier in east London. Good On You rates AKYN Good overall. It scores the brand Good for planet, citing organic cotton, plastic-free packaging and low-impact dyes, and Good for animals. People is rated It's a Start, as Good On You found no evidence of living wages in the supply chain.

Encircled
Canada
Encircled is a Canadian womenswear brand that designs versatile, travel-friendly clothing it calls wanderleisure. It sells tops, pants, cardigans, blazers and sets made from fabrics such as Tencel, modal and merino, aimed at women who want to pack light without giving up style. Garments are ethically made in Toronto, and more than half of its fabric is knit in Canada. The brand follows a slow fashion model built on multi-way, trendless designs. Its sewing studios keep scrap fabric to upcycle into accessories, and it holds sample sales for imperfect garments. Green energy powers its office and web hosting, and its packaging is 100% recyclable. Encircled is a certified B Corp, and most of its textiles are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified. Good On You rates Encircled Good overall. It scores the brand Good for planet and people and It's a Start for animals. The rating notes local manufacturing and a traceable supply chain, but finds no evidence of living wages or an animal welfare policy.
