Philodendron spiritus-sancti, also known as Philodendron Santa Leopoldina or P. sanctum, is an aroid from the rainforests of Espírito Santo state in Brazil, which the seller lists as endangered and says was formally described by George S. Bunting in 1987. Its distinctive sword-like, rich green leaves hang downward and can grow to about 60 cm (23.6 inches) long and 11-12 cm wide. Jiffy Plants describes it as fast-growing and easy to care for, liking a moist but airy, well-draining mix, bright indirect light and high humidity of 70-80%. It can be grown outdoors in hardiness zones 10-12, is toxic to pets, and is offered in several sizes.
