Purusha People
United States
Purusha People is a US womenswear brand rooted in yoga. It makes sleepwear, loungewear, intimates, bra tops and everyday clothing in sizes from XS to 4X, and releases its pieces in small, limited-edition drops. Its clothing is made from OEKO-TEX certified Lenzing Tencel lyocell. Spandex makes up less than 10% of the fabric, and the brand says it plans to switch to a plant-based version once one is widely available. Prints use water-based inks, and dyeing takes place in a GOTS certified dye house. Every step, from knitting to finishing, happens in downtown Los Angeles. The brand says all its makers are paid a guaranteed living wage. Fabric scraps are recycled, damaged pieces are sold as seconds, and packaging is plastic-free and made from recycled paper. A portion of profits from each drop goes to a charity. Good On You rates Purusha People Good overall: Great for planet and animals, since its whole range is vegan, and It's a Start for people. Good On You notes that the brand does not define what it means by a living wage.

Beaumont Organic
United Kingdom
Beaumont Organic is a British label founded in 2008. It designs clothing for women in the UK and has it made in Europe. The range covers knitwear, dresses, shirts, trousers and outerwear, and Good On You notes that the brand also sells baby wear, homeware and accessories. Fabrics include GOTS certified organic cotton, linen, lyocell, British lambswool and recycled fibres. Every product page lists the fabrics, processes and suppliers used. The brand says it visits its factories regularly and that all of them are committed to paying a living wage. It also runs free repair and resale schemes to keep garments in use for longer. Good On You rates Beaumont Organic Good overall. It scores Great for Planet, thanks to lower-impact materials, production close to home and recyclable packaging. It scores Good for People but Not Good Enough for Animals, because the brand uses leather, wool and mohair and Good On You found no animal welfare policy.
WILDA.ECO
Poland
WILDA.ECO is a Polish womenswear label offering shirts, pants, tops and blouses, jackets, suits, scarves and bags, with plus sizes in the range. Its style mixes minimalism, artisan craft and timeless feminine design, and it ships worldwide. All of the brand's products are vegan, and garments are made to order to cut waste. It releases seasonless collections, uses lower-impact materials such as Tencel Lyocell, avoids plastic packaging and works to lower transport emissions. The final production stage takes place entirely in Poland, most of the supply chain is traced, and the brand works with women artisans and women-owned businesses. Good On You rates WILDA.ECO Great overall. Its website currently says the brand is on a break and not taking orders, but plans to return.

maison blanche
Switzerland
maison blanche is an avant-garde fashion label from Switzerland. It makes conceptual menswear and womenswear such as shirts, tops and leggings, and it has also launched a perfume line. Its collections take on socio-political themes, including gender, feminism and the treatment of minorities, with the LGBTQIA+ community at the centre of its work. The label follows a cradle-to-cradle approach to circular design and avoids plastic where it can. It also says it is committed to fair employment and inclusion. One shirt, made in collaboration with Miele, sends all of its proceeds to DAO, which supports women's shelters in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Good On You rates maison blanche Good overall: Great for animals, since the whole range is vegan, Good for planet and It's a Start for people. On the planet side, it credits the use of organic cotton, limited production runs, manufacturing closer to home and action on water use. Final production happens in Portugal, but Good On You found no evidence of living wages being paid in the supply chain.
Katla
United States
Katla is a US-based clothing label that makes loungewear for women, men and children. Its range includes shirts, skirts, sweaters, pants, hoodies, knitwear and shorts. The brand pairs a Nordic minimalist look with fabrics that blend in seaweed harvested around Iceland's Sleepy Islands and the nearby fjord. Good On You rates Katla Good overall. It scores 4 out of 5 for planet, 4 for people and 5 for animals. According to Good On You, the brand uses some lower-impact materials such as organic cotton, keeps production runs limited to reduce waste, and manufactures close to home to cut shipping emissions. All final-stage production takes place in the United States. Its code of conduct covers ILO principles, and it audits part of its supply chain, including the whole final production stage. Good On You also notes some gaps. Katla does not publish a breakdown of its materials, there is no evidence that it reduces packaging, and there is no evidence that it ensures living wages. The brand states that its entire range is vegan.
